Director of the Economic Program
Anne Kim is the Director of Third Way’s Economic Program, which works to develop and advance a progressive, pro-growth economic agenda. Her areas of expertise include the economy, the middle class, taxes and budget issues, health care, financial services, and trade. Previously, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to Representative Jim Cooper and was also the Director of the Work, Family and Community Project at the Progressive Policy Institute. Before joining the policy world, Ms. Kim worked as a lawyer in private practice, where she specialized in securities regulation, corporate finance and corporate transactions. Ms. Kim graduated from Duke University Law School in 1995 and from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, CNBC, CBS News and Politico.
