Renewables, nuclear, carbon capture and storage, and electric vehicles will take us far down the road to eliminating our carbon emissions. Rolling out these technologies at the scale we need will take time. The good news is that natural gas releases 50% less carbon pollution than coal, reducing emissions as we work to expand our renewable, nuclear and carbon capture and storage capacities. Using this cleaner energy source will create thousands of new jobs and provide a domestically available, low cost fuel for electricity and commercial transportation.
