The Inside Politics Newsletter is authored by revered political analyst and longtime CNN contributor, Bill Schneider. He provides monthly insights into the pols, polls, and issues that shape our political landscape.
June 2012 – In this month’s Inside Politics Newsletter, Bill writes about how Obama’s political persona has changed since the last election. And why his pledge to unify the country has failed, just as it did for Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
“The Enthusiasm Race” on p. 3 reveals a striking contrast between the enthusiasm of Obama supporters and Romney supporters. It suggests that Obama does retain the movement support he had in 2008. Romney, not so much.
The infographic on p. 4 provides more evidence that the Obama campaign is a political movement. Most of Obama’s contributions are in small amounts ($200 or less). Romney gets most of his money in big bucks ($1,000 or more).
