Third Way Stands with iMarch for Immigration
December 06, 2017
WASHINGTON—Third Way Vice President for Social Policy & Politics Lanae Erickson Hatalsky issued the following statement on the iMarch for Immigration:
"Immigrants have always been an essential part of our communities, families, and economy. And though policymakers on both sides of the aisle agree that our immigration system is broken top to bottom, they have failed to act. Congress must work without delay to protect Dreamers, who are Americans in every way but legal status, and then build on that common ground policy to craft comprehensive immigration reform that will fix the system for the future.
"That is why today, Third Way proudly stands with New American Economy as they launch iMarch for Immigration, in partnership with more than twenty national organizations and over 100 local partners. The iMarch campaign boasts online and offline events in all 50 states and brings together faith leaders, business leaders, veterans, Hispanic leaders, farmers, and elected officials from both sides of the aisle to urge their representatives to take meaningful action reforming the American immigration system, starting with a solution for Dreamers. Lives hang in the balance, and there is no time to waste."
