Policy Advisor, Economic Program
Being raised in a household that had political debates over every dinner, Ryan was conditioned to have a deep-rooted fascination with politics and policy. In college, he discovered he could make a career out of policy research and this epiphany led to a career in the Beltway so he could transform those dinnertime conversations into real-world change.
Ryan currently serves as an Economic Policy Advisor for Third Way. He previously worked as an editorial contributor for Equities.com where he wrote articles on the economic, political, and financial news. Ryan has also worked in the district office of Los Angeles City Councilman Mike Bonin.
Ryan attended the University of Southern California where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematical Finance. During his time there, he served as the president of a political advocacy group designed to register young voters and foster an interest among the student body in contemporary political issues. Upon graduation, he immediately went on to pursue his Master’s in Economics from Boston University.
As a new resident to Washington, Ryan will enjoy exploring the city’s numerous landmarks, museums, and restaurants…in the spring. As an avid fan of football, Ryan currently enjoys spending his weekends planted in front of the television with the remote firmly in hand, especially now that his hometown of Los Angeles finally has a team he can root for.
